We're all the way up in Garden Grove. By the time you get here, we'd probably have things under control by then. And, I'd hate for you to sit for hours in rush hour traffic.

Raising kids ain't all about fun and games. They have a tendency to like fun stuff like carving pumpkins and not the "icky" parts like cleaning out the gunk.

Without getting to metaphorical, kids that are taught to clean out their own gunk in life are on a much better road. Anyone that's spent more than 5min with MG and Boy know the love those two share and that the incident she related is not one of neglect. What "mom" was doing be it surfing the net, reading a book or developing a cure for cancer was immaterial. What's important was the message:

Hey boy, in life you need to clean out your own gunk. Especially if that gunk is in a pumpkin that's four sizes too big because someone just had to have a really big one.....
