So I understood what "Bede watching you Easter date" literally meant. But it took several readings before I caught the audible similarity between "Easter date" and "masturbate" and the connection to the "ceiling cat is watching you masturbate" one.

And now that the joke is over explained it is probably impossible to find it funny. Or, it will turn out, I've still not gotten it.

Actually, for some odd reason, I am quite amused by your explanation. I admire a man who is so willing to put so much effort into getting a joke.
