Wow, DP... that's rough. Well, we're still hoping she pulls through everything and gets the recovery and continues to be encouraged to keep on top of her medical issues. It's not easy, and certainly no one needs to coddle her, but I can't imagine threats (such as those, which have nothing to do with the real life threats her medical conditions may present) being any help at all.

Well, we didn't get one of the puppies from the breeder here in AZ

In fact, I just found out we've lost out on an 18 month old male too from TX.

Now we're on a list for a litter that is due on the 19th, but the breeder is hesitant to place a puppy in a home with a preschooler. She says that we won't know until they do their temperament testing at 7 weeks whether one of the puppies would be an "appropriate fit" for our household.

We obviously wouldn't try to bring a puppy into our home if we thought we couldn't handle it, but we may be excluded simply based on the age of our youngest daughter!

This just sucks

Swanie, I hope you get your pup!

I called the florist near Mom's hospital and placed the order. Sometime in the next couple hours, she'll receive a very colorful and fragrant basket, accompanied by a plush retro Mickey. I can't wait for the phone to ring.
