2008 Swanking Idea Thread

Ok, so we fudged it on a January Swanking. Maybe we can still have a successful 3-month swanking season if we start in February and go thru April.

There were tons of good ideas in this thread.


But the concept for a February Swanking was first off the boards ... and it's the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley - featuring a tour of Air Force One!

It turns out they are having big doings there on "Presidents Weekend" - - and consequently we want to stay far away from that. Plus, the mover and shaker behind this particular swanking, one Nirvanaman who barely checks in here anymore, couldn't go that weekend ... and I expect it's too short notice for lots of other folks already having plans for the 3-day weekend.


But how about the day after George Washington's Birthday?!? That's Saturday, February 23rd.
