My Irish aunt would never serve sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving because where she grew up, sweet potatoes were fed to the pigs.

I hate corned beef and cabbage. Tonight I'll put green food coloring in my Corona, top it with a slice of lime and call it a day.
 Sounds like that's just as Irish as Corned Beef and Cabbage anyway....

I have our corned beef simmering in the crock pot with a little onion, some carrots, and a few parsnips. In another 30 mins I need to add the cabbage. It smells so good right now, but that's the sucky thing about using the crock pot. Those last couple of hours seem to last an eternity. I really don't want to wait another 2.5 hours for dinner.
