But Sun bought controlling interest in a company that seems to me to be worth tens(if not scores) of millions of dollars....maybe I overestimated just how rich and powerfull Paik was.

There were several post on another board that explained that all Sun had to do to have a controlling interest is buy more stock than her father owned. She didn't have to buy 51% of all the stock.
