The first pair screams 1990something. Did you check an actual Vans store or Kohls (for some reason they have randomness when it comes to shoes and styles)?

Really like the 2nd pair.

I tried on a pair of those in classic black. No where near as comfortable as I remember them to be. Much sadness ensued.

Kohl's carried them it seems but I checked their site and all they had left was a 7 1/2 and an 11. And by yesterday evening, the 11 was gone. Too bad because they were on sale for $15 there. Same story everywhere else. I'm pretty sure they're discontinued.

I tried the first pair on in a different color and they felt great on me. If I decide to get these I'll try to find somewhere to try them on, or just go through Zappos.

After some massive blisters caused by my super cute boots in Vegas and noticing how beat up all my boots were, I decided it was time to replace my black boots.
