I grew up with a family who would have fun with the seder and sometimes "misinterpret" the text on the page. From past times, I recall some of the extra plagues being taxes, tryptophan, and Martha Stewart. I think I made some Elijah Wood jokes somewhere in there too. (Hence, starting the tradition of "The Wise-ass son asks...")

This year, I spent Passover w/ my Orthodox cousins who do things pretty strictly by the book, but it seemed a little foreign b/c they read mainly in Hebrew. Going back home to Nawlins wasn't an option this year, but at least I got to see my aunt demonstrate her VERY low alcohol tolerance (and break out in a case of the giggles!)
