Ruthie Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Posts: 59	Off the top of my head, middle class means a nice house (nothing fancy) and "extras" like cable, internet, money for a family vacation each year on top of all the needed things (grocery, electricity, etc). I would say eastern WA (where I am) would be about $50,000 - $75,000 a year per family to be "middle class".
