Oh, yes! This reminds me of once when I drove down La Brea. At the Sunset corner, I came upon a twentysomething man who rendered me dumb for a moment. I could not take my eyes off of him. This was not, unfortunately, because he was especially good-looking. I simply could not figure out whether he was homeless or a rock star. What with the rumpled-up hair, and the shotty shoes, and the sweat pants cut off at the knees, and mismatched socks pulled up as far as they could go, I just wasn't sure whether he was going to squeegie my windshield or break into a riff on Stairway to Heaven.
