I've heard of people gluing their antenna toppers on, but they still get stolen, and in addition to losing their antenna topper, they also then have a broken antenna as people break the antenna to steal the topper.

I once came home from a trip to discover that sometime while I was gone, some of my neighbors had entertained themselves by putting a condom over my Mickey antenna topper. That was the last time I had an antenna topper actually on my antenna.

The 50th anniversary antenna topper that I was thoughtfully* given by a friend will most likely reside on top of a pen at work.

By thoughtfully, I mean, when I said to him Wednesday night, "Hey, whatdidja get me?" He said, "Uhhhhh......a gold antenna topper." Which he luckily had bought an abundance of.

The 50th anniversary antenna topper is still sold out, or rather new shipments have not arrived yet as of May 7. I had looked for them and asked CMs about them in several shops in both DL and DCA.

You can add the hotel shops to that list too. I was asked several times if we had them and played phone tag to find them, but no joy for the hunters of the golden eared riders of the slender silver radio rods! Hang in there, though, they shall return!
