Kinda like the TV scheduals. Use to be the season started in Sept., lasted until about June, and then repeats for the summer. Now you never know. Thank goodness for DVRs......

I do not know the reason for the move, but not as many Goths will bake in the extra sunny and hot days of August anymore.

The creepiest thing about them was they way they lurked in the aisles; staring at the food products with blank, vacant stares. It was like they had never shopped for groceries before, and didn't quite know what to do. They were also for too over-dressed for a trip to the supermarket. On the way home we made up a story about them suffering in these hard economic times; having to lay-off their maid (Consuela) and start doing their own shopping for the first time in 40 years.

What fascinated me the most was the perfection of her absolutely straight strands of hair that formed her bangs in front. They were so perfect and in such sharp contrast to her wispy cushiony curls, like lines drawn in thin mascara down her forehead. Such perfection. I was so sucked in. Mesmerized, like watching a train wreck, I could not look away. I began to picture her sitting in the beautician's chair, conversing with her as to what could be done to give her a "new look". And this is what they decided on. And paid good money for.

Well, I was thinking about sneaking in a cell phone shot of her, but to be honest with you I was afraid she'd figure it out. Being raised a proper Southern gentleman, I just couldn't do anything to humilate the poor dear that way. Besides, the hair was doing a way better job of that than I could ever imagine.
