Thank you for the tip, Mr. Fusion! It's been a while since I've visited a Krsipy Kreme, but looking at its Web site, it seems they offer more varieties of doughnuts now, like Cinnamon Twist and Dulce de Leche. I never thought Krispy Kreme would offer a "twist" doughnut or a Spanish dessert-inspired doughnut. However, I never paid too much attention to the "cold" doughnuts anyway, since the original, glazed doughnuts--when they sign says "Hot Now"--were the star attraction.

On a side thought, I think Krispy Kreme has lowered the quality of its product and brand by selling "cold" doughnuts at supermarkets. Some people I know who have never tried the "fresh off the conveyor belt" hot, glazed doughnuts have thought: "What's the big deal about Krispy Kreme?" People who have only eaten Krispy Kreme's cold, supermarket doughnuts don't know what they're missing--and probably never develop a love for the brand. |
