Yep, nothing happened here in the a.m. at 9:09:09.
But, today is my daughters 24th birthday. That is a biggie to ME {not so much to her, it would seem}. I wanted to show her that it is also her great-grandmothers' birthday. I have a picture of her tombstone from the internet. I check the date...she was born on 09/09/09!!! But that was 1909!!! If she were still alive she'd be 100 today.

My dad and my grandmother were both born on 9/9. My dad would have been 85 yesterday. My granny was born 9/9/1901 and she died in 2001, so she did make it to the century mark. |

Wow, Deebs! So far, none in my family have lived that long. I believe that Grandmother was 92.
My sis actually found the headstone. A website called findagrave.com. I think it is really cool. I kind of doubt I've ever be there in person so I am happy to see this. It is a pretty headstone. I've always liked graveyards and the pretty tombstones some have created for their loved ones.

It gives me hope for my own longevity, however it's all women on that side of the family, except for my dad, so it may not be a particularly accurate gauge.

That is great their minds kept up with them. And, that is true about the gender factor.
The men in our family are a bit nervous as the men seem to die kind of young while the women live pretty long {as long as they take some sort of care of themselves}.
