				            | Kevy, I'm pretty sure I was attending the same horse show as you and your mom this past weekend! I was photographing and reporting about the horse show for my place of employment, which publishes several equestrian magazines. Sooooo ... I am interviewing a rider who just won first place in a draft horse competition, and find out the horse is named "Major," a Belgian Draft Horse, who worked the past five years as one of the horses on Main Street, U.S.A. for the Horse-Drawn Streetcars! So, I get even more excited since I actually remember Major. Being an admirer of horses, I actually take the Horse-Drawn Streetcars often and recall Major pulling other guests and I down Main Street on a few occasions. It's also a sweet story in that the rider who I interviewed at the horse show is also a Horse-Drawn Streetcar cast member who bought Major after the horse was retired by Disneyland. The cast member (and equestrian) loved Major enough to buy the horse after its Disney retirement and ensure it has a good home. |

				            | I remember seeing what appeared to be someone with a Cast Member Name Badge on when I was at Fairplex yesterday, but I didn't think too much of it. If you saw some miniature donkeys out in the arena yesterday, that was my Mom's group. Although she was showing in the south end of the arena (to the left as viewed from the grandstands) and the draft animals (the big boys) were at the north end.
