Even I don't want to eat a corn dog flavored mint. (admittedly, if I was offered one, I would be curious enough to try it - but it seems unlikely that I would really love it.)

On the other hand, visiting Archie McFee for even a few moments is very dangerous. I found wonderful good-bad gifts for everyone in my family in just a couple of clicks.

Well no more gross than bacon mints, corn dog air freshener and the like. Archie McPhee certainly fills a niche market. It is one of my favorite places to shop for ridiculous things.

I don't know, somehow it seems worse. I think it's because bacon is just bacon, and while the thought of a bacon mint isn't exactly appealing, at least it's a pretty straight forward flavor - cured smoked pig. The fact that a mint that's corndog flavored means that they've somehow synthesized the separate flavors of hot dog and fried corn bread batter down into a single flavor is conceptually more stomach-churning. Perhaps because it brings to mind an image of someone blending a corndog into a homogeneous smoothie.

Reminds me of a story...

I was in high school when I had four impacted wisdom teeth removed. Two days later, the rest of my family went on a ten day vacation. Because my jaw/teeth/gums were still quite sore, I couldn't chew very well and hard foods were right out. So during that time, I subsisted almost entirely on frozen Marie Calendar chicken pot pies which (after cooking) I put in the food processor. Granted, it looked nasty, but it tasted great (I freaking love pot pies). I liked it so much that I ate them that way for months—long after I had recovered from the oral surgery. I would have continued longer but I got sick of cleaning the food processor.
