Not to take the victory away from Parvati, she acted on the knowledge perfectly, set herself up to do so by handling the idol she found perfectly, and lord knows there are people dumb enough to have not seen through Amanda, but it was definitely an advantage to have that information handed to her on a silver platter like that.

I was looking at it from Russell's point of view, not being privy to Amanda's blabbering. Assuming he thought the vote would go against Parvati the way it all went down has to be freaking out Mr. I'm in control. It was a serious blind side to him.
