When I first read "east of Oceanside", I didn't think that sounded right. But it turns out that Borrego Springs is more east of Oceanside than I realized (as in, though it is about 90 miles, Borrego Springs IS east of Oceanside, which surprised me).

USGS is all over the place on magnitude. When I first looked, it was reporting as 5.7. It was later upgraded to 5.9. Now, it is showing as 5.4.
