Great idea - I second that. (Overnight is a good option too). The weather should be great there this weekend.

San Diego is also a good general option - Balboa Park, Gas Lamp District, etc. If this is his kind of thing, taking a tour of the aircraft carrier Midway is excellent. If you want to do a nice dinner in San Diego, I recommend Lou & Mickey's in the Gas Lamp District.

Or just take him to Zuma Beach and shove him in the water.
