We, as a matter of fact, are very far from practicing Jews at this point in life, but yes it is a time of year that is usually centered around family get togethers none the less. We've missed past years likely because of that, or being on a weeknight, or who knows what else.

The tradition belongs to those who instigated it, don't go altering on our account. Nevermind that with Disquieting Metomorphosis to consider, planning around us would be restrictive. Among other things, we'll have just returned from our first stint away from him. We're going to a wedding in Boston next weekend, leaving him with grandparents for a couple days. The planning-ahead centers of our brains are currently at full capacity with the NASA-level logistics that requires.
