K gave it a thumbs-down review.

I'll paraphrase. There is no street party. The Hollywood street is cool looking, and has great Tron projections on the walls of the buildings, and certainly draws you in. But nothing is going on there. You have to get to the Monsters, Inc. area before any action goes on - and there's a D.J. booth and some go-go dancers, but you can only see the heads and shoulders of any of them.

There's a Tron spoiler reel playing in the Muppet theater, and 25cent 80's-era video games in the old food court that was open for DCA's first 6 months.

I didn't hear whether any overpriced crappy alcohol was being served, but the energy was decidedly low-key compared to GlowFest, if I read K right.

I don't know when I'll next be at the Resort to check it out myself, but it sounds like the jealous divas at Disney Entertainment couldn't even figure out what made GlowFest so popular and just copy those elements. It sounds instead like they took a successful concept and sucked most of the life out of it.

Typical.

Disney was wise to outsource brilliant animated films to Pixar. They should obviously continue to do the same with theme park entertainment. They've sucked at it for decades.
