There was a very pleasant surprise waiting for me when I got home from work today. My copy of Armistead Maupin's new Tales of the City novel arrived! I had pre-ordered it a couple months ago, and completely forgot about it. Happy, happy!

Yes, the bear is down on the valley floor though we did see three bears up at the reservoir too (from much farther away).
