				            | We were already on the plane and ready to go: according to the pilot, they were rerouting all of the outgoing flights around the storm

				            | We heard gunfire a few minutes ago. I called 911. They had already gotten several calls.

				            | Oliver kitty does NOT want to wear a collar. His previous collar had a little stretch band on it - I assume to help him get out of the collar should it get hooked on something? He would fight with it and bite at it until he got it hooked in his jaw and flop around like a fish out of water. Getting it off him was tramatic and painful. So he didn't wear a collar - and didn't go outside. Lately though he's been running for the door when the dogs go out and who can blame him - it's a beautiful day and we have a large yard with a flower garden veggie garden, trees and lot's of sunshine (at least today.) When I came upon another collar my Mom had picked up for one of our dogs, that didn't fit them, but was the right size for Oliver and without the stretchy, I decided to put it on him. It's got a name tag with contact info and a bell. It's driving him CRAZY! He's scratched at it, meowed a bunch, tried to bite it, shook his head, jumped about, rolled around, and ran back and forth through the house like a trapped wild animal. Poor guy. It's for your own good, damnit!

				            | So - I'm doing a little side job and it's the first job I've done freelance in many years. I've forgotten just how much people wreck the documents they give you to work with. Things appear to be centered - nope - it's all spaces. Inconsistant spacing between words and sentences. Spacing to the next line instead of hitting return. Spaces instead of tabs. How many fonts did you use in this one document? Random creative spellings and gramatical weirdness. Oh - and they "pre-designed" it in word - it's a brochure - or at at least it wants to be. I'm happy to have the work to do.

				            | We have one cat that shall forever go collarless. The couple of times we have tried putting one on her, she will do anything to get it off. Elastic ones are ripped right off and I watched her actually hurt herself to remove the one we tried that was a non-stretch type that fit fairly snugly on her. Thankfully she is a fully indoors cat.

				            | People that hold grudges after minor accidents (and I don't mean car) really try my patience. Also, I should really learn not to add salt to the wound later in my frustration with said grudge. It's rather counter-productive. Sigh.

				            | While it is a funny story, how in the world did the sheriff go along with that? I'm pretty sure that just because you have a judgment against someone you don't get to use the police to seize whatever assets you decide you want from them. But maybe I'm wrong. |
