So something under the sidewalk in Camarillo blew up this morning. Power flickered in my hubby's building a couple times, but that was all they got. The rest of the block and the neighboring ones lost power entirely. Subway was using a calculator to ring people up.

Husband and I went for a walk after lunch, and found a fire engine blocking a lane. Sidewalk was taped off with caution tape, and the lane blocked with cones. The FD guy said the vault exploded and they're keeping everybody away in case of secondary explosions.

Not something that happens all the time. The sidewalk was visibly deformed and a few small chunks of debris lay in the street.
