| Not Taking Any Crap! | Things Are Looking Up! Good morning Hep Cats & Kitties! I know it's been a long time since I checked in but I wanted to do so, especially since it has been awhile. In the past few months my outlook for my future has turned from a a road with twists and turns in a dark and stormy forest to a straight path through hills, flowers, chirping birds, a smiling sun, and a rainbow. this is a big year for me. I'll be turning 30 in September. 30 is a big deal for anyone but to me is GIGANTIC because I was only given six weeks to live at birth. So at the beginning of this year I decided to make this year really count and actually be something more than a crackpot political advocate who still lives with his parents. So I made the decision to make strides to become self-sufficient and increase my income so I can make all my dreams come true. What was the first domino to fall? A friend in Arkansas makes a living by creating websites that collect RSS feeds on a particular topic and put all the stories in one place. He has several of these and has a Facebook page for each one to drive traffic to the corresponding webpage and thus increase ad revenue. He used to do this with an automated system. However Facebook doesn't like automation so he needed someone to post links from the web pages to the Facebook pages to increase web traffic. So I do that for three of his pages for $2 a post. Last month I made $530 doing this and the potential exists for raises and bonuses because I have done such a good job driving traffic for him. At the same time I have started a part-time job in sales (don't worry I'll be making no sales pitches here) which has great potential because of my many contacts in the business and political world that want to see me succeed with my goals. This job has the potential to make the above Facebook gig look like peanuts comparatively. All in all I am working hard to really make this 30th year on this planet REALLY count. I really like where things are headed but I am keeping my nose to the grindstone to make potential success turn into actual success. Especially cause there are four words that I want to post here eventually after having the money to booking a trip[ to a certain special place. Keep your fingers crossed! |
