I think what they'll have to offer is Cars Land.
That's right, the attraction not being near as good as Transformers is not the deal-breaker. Disney has fallen behind in attraction technology and design for long, long years now. But they are still masters of the themed-environment, and that's what's going to make
any attraction in Cars Land a hit - - from the dressed-up slot car track to the total operational failure tire floating ride.
Meanwhile, though I'm eager to ride the ride of a movie series you'd have to drag my dead carcass to see ... I'm 90% sure I won't experience Transformers until Horror Nights in October. And that's because I find Universal a completely dull place to be. It's even more thematically vapid than DCA, and that's saying a lot. So, really, once every 5 years or so has usually been plenty of Universal for me ... but since Horror Nights are so much fun, once-a-year is MORE than enough Universal.
So I'm really looking forward to Cars Land and Buena Vista Street and Ghiradelli (yum) in a park I really don't care much for. But I'll experience them all in late June or maybe July ... while I can easily wait till October for the best Southern California theme park attraction in 20 years. Neither the tire ride that will take six months of cumulative waiting in line to master enough skill for enjoyment, nor the slot car ride based on the Epcot attraction I've heard nothing but complaints about for the last 15 years will detract from my desire to experience new Disney themed environments ... and ice cream sundaes!
