Pinball Hall of Fame

I'd never even heard of the Pinball Hall of Fame - but found it on a website about free or cheap things to do in Vegas.

If you like pinball you should visit. If you LOVE pinball, OMG - why haven't you gone yet???

Most arcade you'll get maybe 3 pinball games - of if you're lucky maybe a few more. This place has roughly 100 games! Old vintage, mechanical games up to the latest and greatest. I got to play a few old favorites and a bunch of games I'd never seen.

We have something similar up here in Alameda. It was a good hour of fun. Unfortunately for me, Lani found it to be a good 2.5 hours of fun.

I could have easily spent another hour there. My family was ready to go though so... I'm plotting to go back soon.

Kids spent their money too darn fast. They may beat me in video games but I rule the pinball! (at least in my fam.)

They charge per game? The one up here is flat entry fee them the machines are free.

For the record, should you be in the Bay Area,

Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda.

Oh, and the post above made it kind of sound like I don't like pinball. I do, very much.

But it turns out it is a like in the same way I like gambling. Blackjack is no fun when there is no money (or whatever) at risk. The urgency to do well at pinball disappeared when the next game was free. And the one after that. And the one after that.

The Addams Family and The Twilight Zone (I prefer the more modern versions and consider 1992-1998 to be kind of the sweet spot between the technology for pinball machines overlapping with the widespread venues to allow innovation).
