I find the format of facebook makes it nearly impossible to follow discussions. If I see a discussion starting on an interesting topic on a friends list and say I'm busy but I want to go back later unless I remember whom it's impossible to find.

I don't participate unless I feel I have something to add, but I know a lot of very smart, interesting people and I love to see their opinions. And facebook just isn't a great format for expressing opinions.
