This is one of my very favoritest songs, and it's been in my head pretty much constantly the past few weeks, so it's definitely been running through my head while I'm here in the Lounge.

I looooove The Look of Love! That's sooo this place for me. Thanks!! It's just so perfect!

And What's New Pussycat? Awesome.

What a great list so far! I'd toss in Bobby Darin's "Love Swings" LP (I doubt he or anyone back then got the double entendre), "Natural" by Celso Fonseca for the Jobim fans who need something new, and maybe even a little Tindersticks...

All great choices so far!

I'd add (obvious to me choices):

Dave Brubeck - Take Five
Nat Cole Trio - Hit That Jive Jack
Martin Denny - Quiet Village
Burt Bacharach - The Look Of Love (I think someone mentioned this)
Herb Alpert - The Lonely Bull
Love Unlimited Orchestra - Love's Theme

For giggles: Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good

and I always have to mention these guys:
Beach Boys - Pet Sounds (a rejected James Bond Theme)

This list could go on forever!

I really groove on both of these cats!

Flub~ I bought the Smile CD on your recommendation. I think I might put it on and try to get some work done today.

I love the title song that they play during the credits. I believe it was Michael Buble and someone else. Love it.

There are so many great suggestions for songs here, that I can barely keep up my research on them.

What I've learned so far from this thread:

1. Nina Simone is a goddess.
2. Chet Baker was cute when he was young.
3. Dusty Springfield, Astrud Gilberto, Diana Krall and Norah Jones are simply wonderful.
4. Grace Jones is swanky.
5. There's a lot I don't know about Jazz and Lounge music.
