I agree that people should come dressed in their kinda swank (glitter, or, say, vintage, if that's your bag.) I just bought a new dress that would be perfect for my concept of grown-up prom. And now, a place to perhaps use it!

What about the idea of using a clubhouse? Somebody's apartment clubhouse? Maybe, somebody's apartment clubhouse we've used before?

I vote no date sooner than a month and a half from now. I'd like to dance with my date, and he won't be back in dancin' condition for at least several weeks.

And I think I was the first one to think they could get a large enough space cheap enough. (or free)
I can check it out, and someone else is totally free to find an LA venue

I'm not opposed to a road trip, but there doesn't seem to be much interest outside of a few, and I'm not sure we could all come up with the money for the venue, the trip, a stay over, etc. And it's certainly not an apartment-sized party. Hmmm.

And you are starting to get into wedding season as well.

I think September would be a good time logistically on these factors, but that's seven months away.
