For now, I've decided that re-addicting myself to video games works. But I don't like that as a long term solution.

You could start small. There's room on the porch for small projects. I wouldn't mind investing in some equipment. What did you want to build?

Might I suggest checking out the Adult Ed classes at a local Community College. I have been taking woodworking classes at Mt. SAC for close to ten years. They're great for me as they are on the weekends.

I am not sure what is near you (I hear Fullerton College has some decent classes), but it is worth checking out. I have actually made a couple of pieces of furniture in our house and for freinds as well.

I consider myself an accomplished sawdust maker.
