If the video said it was from the early 80's (I forget the exact year) why were the TV's much older looking? My thought was since it seemed like it had obviously been abandonded for quite some time perhaps all the cameras etc work but they can now be transmitted to a more remote location?
I didn't really pay attenton to the numbers on the print out, but my thought at the time was that it was a print out of the numbers being entered into the computer in the Losties hatch. There was something on the tape that said something about a ferry or something off the island after each 8hr shift. I was hoping they found some sort of playback or something that would show Michael shooting Libby & Ana but that didn't happen. I liked how Michael was having a panic attack the whole episode that Libby would survive. I was kind of waiting for him to try and do something else to her but that ended up not being necessary. Poor Hurley. Sawyer was sleeping on his stash - excellent plan. |

I just couldn't believe neither John nor Eko said anything about "where does this tube go?" If the people working there in the Pearl were just sending note books out through it, that means there are records somewhere. Either the tube goes directly to someone in charge, which would mean they have to be fairly close. Or it could just take the notebooks to some sort of storage location. Either they get stored for later pick-up, or they get stored because they aren't needed by Hanso. This could be another experiment just like the button pushing. So, by following the tube you either find the head cheese or you find records of hatch activity that may prove useful. Either way, seems like a worthy endeavor to me.
