So I see we're going to have to have a little Nascar 101 so everyone can play along?
Jeff Gordon came into Nacar racing in the late 90's...He was good...really good from the start...racing and beating alot of the guys who had fought their way up to be as good as they were...Darrell Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt, Richard Petty....anything with asphalt, he could drive on it...anything with wheels..he could power it like no other...and he won everything...almost every week he was winning...it was basically "The Jeff Gordon Show"... Now I admire his racing..he's truly gifted. Anyone who can drive a car at 200 mph, pass cars within an inch of each other, all while strapped into a car where you can't even move your head deserves to be admired! BUT..he had a little cocky attitude to match what he was doing... I think it's just a Nascar thing...you either love him or you hate him! Kevin Harvick is a little punk! He had the hardest job in Nascar...taking over Dale Earnhardts car after he was killed and won in it only three races into it! BUT..I actually like him...He's not afraid to say what he thinks...except sometimes I think he doesn't think before he speaks...He's got a temper, which he shares often...I actually like a little spunk in a driver! OH...thanks for those words of love Claire!!!   I know your really a Redneck at heart!

Is my 'neck showing?
NASCAR is slowly growing on me. One of my best friends is a big ole Dale Jr. loving NASCAR watching freak, and I think it's rubbing off on me. I haven't actually watched a race yet, but I've been asking him a lot of NASCAR questions, and I don't fast forward the NASCAR segments of Sportscenter anymore!
