				            | My umpteen votes for Blake must have paid off!! *ducking from the tomatoes getting thrown at me* Melinda's dismissal was shocking, but I admit I was kinda hopin' for a Blake & Jordin showdown! I must admit I really enjoyed the final three- it's a hard decision! However, I choose Blake. He makes me swoon like a schoolgirl. |

				            | Poor Melinda. She had no demographic bump to push her over. Jordin got the dreamy stage mom votes. Blake got Ally, the tweeners, the Vote for the Worsters and, of course, the votes of all Opus-butted, knock-kneed penguins everywhere. Plus, Simon ran his mouth on Melinda's behalf and once again, America slapped him. It's so unfair. Well, as unfair as this stuff can be.

				        | I'm sure Melinda will survive being voted off Idol. I expect her to maybe go the Jennifer Hudson route, and be a success in her own right. Just because you lose American Idol doesn't mean you stop being a success...as Chris Daughtry can tell you himself. While I enjoy Blake and Jordin, I do have a soft spot for Jordin, and hope she wins it all...but if Blake ends up the victor, I won't be too disappointed. This is the best final three the show has had in a while.

				            | Yo! Ahh-ight, dudes... I'm taking the time to post while scrambling to vote for Blake on all 3 busy phone numbers. Some observations tonight.... *The show was kinda sorta okay. This season at its lowest point still completely blows away last season. I found last season so blah! I can sum up this season's excitement in one word: Sanjaya. I swear I can still hear the wind crying his name outside my window at night.. *I'm almost scared to vote for Blake! I think I might be a bad luck charm for Idol Contestants. Why? Because I voted for Justin Guarini. And Diana De Garmo. And Clay Aiken. And Katherine McPhee. Carrie Underwood was the only Idol that I voted for that actually won! *The Time Machine that Randy is using to travel back to 1989 is way effective- he scored a lovely jacket for tonight's episode. I mean, WTF?!?! I am all for freedom of expression & creativity in the form of fashion, but c'mon, Dawg. You might be the last remaining escapee from the Rythym Nation. I think I even had that jacket in High School, but with less chains. Props on his necklace, however. Back to dedicating all of my attention to my personal American Idol, Blake! |

I voted for Clay, Fantasia and Bo. I'm not sure anymore if I voted for Katherine or Taylor; I didn't think either of them deserved to be in the finals. I thought tonight was pretty tepid. The special awful song was unusually awful. It certainly wasn't written with a man in mind. But, vote I must, so I'm voting for Jordin. Then, in another hour: Apolo or Joey?

				            | Ok, I've now seen exactly one song from this season's American Idol so I feel perfectly qualified to make a selection. Blake's first song tonight is the one I saw. I don't even know who he is competing against. But since he beatboxed and beatboxing is the world's third most annoying activity (behind Darfur and Elderhostel) I decree he should lose. Strangler Lewis~ Haha! I am extremely girly, so maybe I'm just drawn to all things femme & estrogen-spiked? Actually, that's not true. I tend to vote for contestants that, if given the choice, I think I might actually purchase their CD. I never do (with the exception of Kelly Clarkson & Carrie Underwood) but that's my thought process. Taylor, Ruben, Fantasia & Clay with all due respect, are just not my cup o' tea. Especially Taylor! I was a Chris Daughtry fan last season! Speaking of Chris Daughtry, he was certainly sportin' plenty of eye make-up last night. He had smoldering, Cleopatra eyes. All he needed was the black bobbed hairdo & little crown. Oh, and those songs that they always have to sing on the finale, as their first single or release, are just so heinous. They totally remind me of a poor man's version of a crappy Diane Warren song. The lyrics were pretty on last night's song, but it seemed specifically taylor-made for Jordin. She has the vocal stylings needed to make that song sound beautiful. Poor Blake. That was just not his style! | |
