There are some great unfortunate name on there. I dislike creative spellings of common names. Caite is still Kate when you say it - which is what most people do most of the time.

Or, I could change the spelling of my name to Liesse and pretend I'm German.

Frankly, I know 2 people who do that ... and the upshot is, I don't see their blogs anymore. I have a half-dozen-to-ten friends who blog, and I want the convenience of having it all in one blog-space.

IMHO, LJ is ugly, annoying, and outdated. I have never enjoyed using it and only did so because others were there. I wanted a fresh start somewhere that's easy for me. I made sure to set it up so you can subscribe to it with an email address, as well as the usual RSS/Atom feed. (If you don't use RSS (like me) the email one would be more convenient. Pregnant woman in your inbox!) I'm hoping this will be accessible enough for all.

BTW - I'm leaving it open for comments, but a word to the wise - I'm going to open this blog up to family and other friends, so watch it, kiddos. I reserve the right to edit responses, only for my own safety and sanity. Thanks in advance for discretion, I know you'll understand.
