They may be keeping the area roped off to prevent the judges from being inundated by a plethora of students trying to do the exact thing you wanted to do. How many students are there? Depending on how many students might be interested in kissing up to talking to judges, the judges will be awful busy talking to students (and not each other, which I presume is the primary reason for the get-together).

Except that "students of color" are allowed. The women's law caucus has to let men come to their annual event, but it's okay to have "no whites allowed" events.

I'm babysitting a few reptiles that Kevy Baby is familiar with, sooo.......Found out today the dragons can move REALLY fast! Gave them some greens and kinda cleaned out the old ones and made a new friend quickly! Should these guys have water? I kinda feel sorry for them. I'm just not made to be a nanny to reptiles!

No, an outside group has rented the space. However, my point remains that the school would not permit the women's law caucus to have their event be women only, because excluding men didn't send the right message that "social justice" is for everyone. Apparently this is an exception, though.

ETA: In three-and-a-half years I have never seen an event here that roped off an area and wouldn't let students network. The school generally promotes all networking opportunities and has to beg students to attend these events. Having a particularly noisy, disruptive event with only certain people permitted - that is held DURING CLASS HOURS - is very unusual, and I can't remember it ever happening before.

OK, don't panic

No, they do not need water. DF soaks them about once a week, which is how they get their water (and from the veggies you are feeding them). They are desert dwellers and used to going periods without water.

I will be stopping by this evening to feed them the live food.

I'll check on his water tonight (I'll be heading out in about 5 minutes). That should be checked and filled every day.

Pick the gecko up - he has a cool texture - VERY different than the beardies.
