Sorry to hear that. If the water is off, you might want to turn off the water heater. If it's an electric water heater, and there is a heating element near the top of the water heater, it will burn out if the water level goes below it.

It's gas. The maintenance guy was here and said it's fine. It will auto shut off if it starts to overheat.

That or I die in a gas explosion.
