Love my ITunes & my new IPod!
I used to work in a music store and ever since then I find it difficult to purchase a cd for 12 bucks considering it's only valued at like 4. Plus I find that I'm dissatisfied by an entire cd.

Is this about listening to music or discovering music to listen to?
Listening is CDs, KCRW, Live, Ripped CDs from my own collection or friends Discovering music - mostly word of mouth through friends and message boards, going to concerts like Coachella, KCRW, sampling things when I travel - letting Amazon suggest things I might like, etc.

Limewire is my other
I like radio for two things: you never know what is next (never the case with CDs) and the personalities. Although I don't get to listen to him much any more (I try to go to bed about the time he comes on the air) and often don't agree with his politics, I think Jum Ladd is one of the greatest Rock and Roll personalities there is. Back on music, the three things I dislike about radio are 1) the sound quality, 2) bad air talent, 3) annoying commercials (I accept that commercials are inevidible on broadcast radio, but I will never buy anything from Sit & Sleep simply because of how annoying the commercials are). For me, radio is not just about the music, it's also about the people who play it and hopefully add somthing to my listening experience. While I like much of the music, I can't stand "Jack" simply because of the "voice." And "K-Mozart" is a STUPID name for a classical radio station. I switched to KUSC when 105.1 changed their call sign. I'm sorry for going off topic.

Work in music, it's in my pores, so I Love iPod for being able to carry music in relatively-awesome quality pretty much everywhere I go. Discover new music mostly by related artists and word-of-mouth, but I don't listen to mainstream pop much. Discovered a small handful of some gems from KUSC (classical music) radio station as well.

Hmm, how do I "get" my music really is a tricky question these days.
I forgot to include Yahoo's Launchcast in my response. Sometimes I'll run that off of YIM and listen to my radio station that plays things I've rated highly, or genres that I like. This leads to bands I hadn't heard before, as it says "Fans of Portishead like this band." I don't buy music there though, so I don't really "get" it there.

I listen to Launchcast from time to time, when I am playing games on the computer. In the car, it depends on my mood. We have a new radio station called Pirate Radio. It is actually pretty good. It plays a wide variety of music (even disco), with very few commercials and no live DJ. It is the only station in town that does not have a "morning program" so I no longer have to pop in a cd every morning.

I <3 my iPod. I use iTunes for their free downloads and get turned onto so many new bands. I also buy music from them. I buy a few CDs directly from the store but I prefer the electronic medium. I rip my CDs into MP3s via iTunes then use MusicBrainz to arrange and re-tag them. I also get my music from co-workers. We're playing musical hard drives (pun intended) right now. There are so many more CDs that I want now.
