I threw it away because - ew - who wants to smell like that! I'd rather it didn't smell like anything so I can wear perfume and not have to wonder what it actually smells like. Then I use some hairspray. Thermasilk and Sauve do not seem to have any hold to me. I use the same brand - the one in the bright green package - for hairspray because it really holds well. Oh - I remember now. It's Garnier Nurtris (sp?).
Hehe. The stuff I love. It smells like citruis.

At the moment I have about 3 different products I rotate, depending on my mood and the state of my hair.

John Frieda Brunette styling stuff - got this in a drugstore in San Francisco and love it. It styles and adds gloss

Body Shop Straightening Balm. Almost out of this. I'll have to buy more, or something similar.

L'Oreal spray that gets rid of frizzies. New purchase. Great stuff.

When I want straight hair:
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, then starightened with a HAI flat iron and smoothed with some Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops.

When I want it wavy:
Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam, then blown dry with a diffuser and smoothed with Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops.

When it comes to my super picky hair, I can't be a sucker for all of the cute packaging and colorful lotions & potions I love so much. I have to be very selective, which really is no fun! When it comes to hair, I'm always asking sales personnel for tips!

I'm chemically treated, and naturally wavy. I would be lost without my ceramic flat iron. Before I iron, and after, I use just a teeny drop of Sudzz FX Zenyth Frizz Eliminator.

I enjoy Redken shampoos, and my stylist recommends them. I also keep a Frederic Fekkai conditioner on hand (this is best for winter weather) and I use Joico I.C.E Spiker Eraser shampoo to rinse out all of the product goop!

Also good for dry, winter months? DuWop Hands 2 Hair. I loved this product! A styling creme that doubles as a hand creme! Brilliant! I whipped through my jar.

I finish it all off with Bumble & Bumble hair spray.

My can't live without item? My Mason Pearson tortoise shell comb. It detangles, styles and never, ever tugs.

I love the whole brunette line from John Frieda. I use everything on the darker end of it, and I love the warm smell (not overpowering) it has. Mmmmmm Sumptuous!

I've always really loved just about everything from KMS that is super moisturizing. I twirl my hair and play with it a lot, so I lose a lot of natural oils that way, and I find that those conditioners really make a difference.

I also like KMS Flat Out, and Curl Up, for when my hair can't make up it's mind, which is quite often.

I'm so excited! I just found a system for *red toned* hair. I wonder if it will work on natural red. I wonder if I should have posted this in the I wonder thread.

blueerica, I forgot to mention the smell of the John Frieda stuff - it's so yummy! Nice, but not overpowering. I once bought a Lush conditioner beacuse it had a really nice scent, but it was way too much - I just can't use it anymore. Hair should smell nice, but not overwhelming.

Ally, I love Redken stuff. I haven't used it for a while though. You've inspired me to go pick some up

Yay! That makes me so happy to read! I just love Redken. In addition to the Color Extender & Smooth Down series that I use, I also just added a new Redken shampoo to my shower, and for the life of me I can't remember the name. It's packaged inside a tube, and it's Kaolin based. I bought it for those days when my hair is in need of a deep cleaning and is just gucky with product build-up! I also recommend their All Soft series, which I loved using, and their Climectress & Volumizing series, which my Stepmom also uses. Please let me know which Redken purchases you make! I'm excited to know!

I forgot to mention HealthySexyHair's Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner! I'm a big believer in the leave in conditioner, and this stuff is just awesome! Very light and soothing to tired strands!

Oooh, I use Redkin products almost exclusively. I use Smooth Down conditioner, alternate between Smooth Down and Solve shampoo and use "Glass" smoothing serum (which is pretty much the only product I use in my hair post shower, I generally don't use gels or mousses or hairspray, etc.)

Their All Soft range is amazing - it leaves me unable to stop touching my hair afterwards
