I think it's great. This is a way of showing that, even though mom is being a drag in the drinking party department (a wise choice, nowadays), she's got a sense of humor and wants everyone to help him celebrate. Across the border, in Idaho, the drinking age was 19 and everyone would hit the State Line nightclubs.. It changed to 21 the year I turned 19, but if you were already 19 at the time you were grandfathered in and allowed to continue partying on.
