Our little town is actually doing a fireworks show this year. Although with my neighbors and their out of state fireworks, I have a great show right here! I also worry that they'll set my house on fire | |

So, anything cool going on for the 4th?
I'm probablly working so and probablly late shift so i won't be home in time for fireworks or to do any BBQing or going out either. Oh well not a biggie cuz i think it is a holiday pay day for me anyways regardless. Plus i really don't care about the 4th all that much (it used to be funner when i was little). |

				            | I would rather be there than where I am going. I spend the fourth working I think they (Sci Fi) do this every year.

| Senior Member | I only have Wednesday off too. They do fireworks at the High School which is right by my apartment so I can view from the front porch if I don't feel like walking down there. I think Maddy is playing Polo or something with her dad in the morning. If she gets back in time we may head up to Disneyland for the fireworks. Maybe I'll clean my house and get all organized - nah. Probably sleep in and watch crap TV all day. It was my Dad's favorite holiday (he was a closet pyromaniac so anything involving fire was good). I do miss being in an area were you can get fireworks and set them off. Sparklers were always my favorite. Fireworks were banned one year because of fire danger so my Dad lit road flares, not really the same.

				            | Wait a minute, you guys can't even get sparklers? Here I thought we had it bad, I'm sorry. I love doing sparklers with the boy, even if they are the cheesey ones now. I think Wendy lives in the coolest state around here for fireworks. Last year we went to Washington for theirs and it was lots of fun. It was a little loud for the boy though. |

| Senior Member | Here they're all banned. You can't get anything. Maddy went to a birthday party a couple years ago and the Dad had gotten a few packs of sparkers from somewhere. The kids had no idea what to do with them. They've had it drilled into them not to play with fire so most wouldn't even hold one. It kind of made me sad.
