Robinson co-created Robin, the Boy Wonder and is often credited as the primary influence for arch-villain the Joker, though Kane and Robinson would clash over credit for the villain's creation in later years. The artist was soon hired away from Kane's shop by "Batman" publisher DC/National Comics, for which he served as a staff artist, drawing many of the most striking covers of comics Golden Age.

So, that's what the deal was. I think I worked with a guy in this very situation, Univ. of Wisconsin, late 1980's. I wonder if he ever made it to the Other Side.

Yeah, I've been watching with absolute fascination. The prices things are selling for, incredible sales WAY over estimates. The cachet of Taylor's name is selling some of the items (lesser valued) but my goodness things estimated in value of 1200 are selling for 20-30-50k!
