OH! a cheap vinyl table cloth with a flannel back is a great place to lay out your blocks when you are trying to arrange them in the best placement. This was important with the Yellow Brick Road pattern we used. The blocks will stick to the flannel and, if you need to come back to the project later, you just fold up the table cloth and you don't lose your layout.

I think I'm going to pull out the tablecloth again when I layer the top with the batting and the backing.

I went back to SewVac and got a walking foot and also a free-hand whatsit that both fit my machine. The woman who helped me Monday night was clueless. I wanted to get both so I could practice but now I have no time.

Those of you who can't get the parts for or who don't like the idea of quilting by machine can buy a needle and a frame. It'll take you longer, but you can do it in a comfy chair while watching movies!

That's why you make them for yourself...in the winter. It's too hot to be sitting under a quilt this time of year!

Amy and I are both having issues with the quilt run days. I don't think she can go at all this weekend due to mid-day walks. Next Sunday I have a client Garden Party at 4 that I need to attend for work.

Why are we both working on Sundays?

I need to call Susan and get things straightened out plan-wise.

Susan, Jan, and I are doing the run tomorrow - hitting the San Diego section.

There's an extra spot in my car, if you're off tomorrow, NA. We're leaving my place at 9am.

I'm working tomorrow. I've got a surprisingly busy weekend of pet sitting. I'm not sure how I'm going tom anage all of it plus the quilt run and the Wicker Man.

Teresa, Amy and I can't go on Sunday so we're going to do the quilt run on the 19th. We're off this week so you all have time to practice quilting (says the woman who sucks at it).
