So, Thurston got us up at 3AM this morning. He barked for a half hour straight and nothing we could do would settle him. Lisa suspects it may be my mom, which makes me wonder about what form ghosts get to take. I mean, my mom got her leg amputated before she started her decline, so when she was cremated, she was missing her foot. I imagine her spirit hobbling around the living room trying to find her lost foot. No wonder Thurston was upset.

On the other hand, knowing my mom, she was probably just worried about her rent being paid, and that we notified the appropriate public agencies of her death. So I brought her into the office, poured a glass of her Velvet Chablis, and showed her a quick accounting of her remaining estate I had put into Quicken.

Perhaps tonight, I'll read her some Goethe, and slip a benedryl in her box.

Interesting. After you went through things, did Thurston (and presumably your mom) settle down?

I wonder if anything odd happened while my mom had my dad's cremains in the house.

Reminds me of when my sister Georgie died. It was Christmastime, and my parents had the stockings my mother made with our names on them hung on the fireplace. As usual, the toes on all five stocking were pointed the same way so that you could read the names. When we all got back to my parent's house after the funeral Georgie's stocking had been turned around...

We had a friend whose grandmother, who had been living with friend and had some VERY negative energy while still alive, passed away. When went to help friend clean up and without knowing her patterns and such commented on how uncomfortable a particular couch was. Found out that was the couch she lived on. When helped him cleanse the energy in his place and we couldn't keep the Sweetgrass lit in her bedroom (everywhere else was no problem). Weird experience!
