Is there a possibility that because your proposal is so good your agent sees an opportunity to push this beyond a niche market? There's a lot of Hollywood glamour nostalgia right now, it seems. Maybe her vision is that with a few tweaks it might move into that 100K copy realm.

If that's the case, it doesn't mean you have to go with that, just that you and she might be approaching this with different expectations.

Yippee, how exciting!

Saw this title on a bookstore shelf today and thought, "If this thing with less info and photos in it than the corresponding IMDB entries can get published..."

A new wrinkle in the saga of the book. As it turns out, I'm eligible to apply for a grant from the Academy Foundation for 25k for my book. The Academy Foundation awards two 25k grants for projects such as mine. So, I'm applying, with no real hope of being awarded a grant, but it's worth spending some postage to find out. Keep those fingers crossed!

Thanks everyone! All good mojo is appreciated! I figured, what the hell, this is totally worth a shot.

Okay, here's the poop for the process, I think I can even cull a good portion of the necessary 5 page submission from the book proposal. I'll be working on this over the long weekend (in between podcasting interviews).
