We just blew our wad at REI.

We ordered the tent we've been looking at - yay sale - (which means we have a cheap Target one up for grabs), and I ordered the Stainless Coleman Cooler of my dreams - yay 20% member discount. A few other odds and ends and a scheduled pick up at the store to save on shipping and now we're happy campers.

We need to keep up with the planning!

I seriously had a dream last night that we arrived, and I had packed everything except my clothes.

It's a sign that we've been too lax about this!

Well, Rhode Island's a bit far. But, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check out the laws for Sequoia.

Hahaha ... reminds me of the last big camping trip I did ... it was probably 15 years ago, at Yosemite. My friend Laurie arrived with everything but a change of clothes. And her husband left his wallet at home. They both had all their camping gear.

Then my friends Lisa and Eric arrived ... without the tent poles for their tent. None could be found in any of the camp stores in the Valley. They ended up hanging their tent from a tree limb .... and it hung there all weekend suspended like a giant nylon teardrop.

Ah, good times!

I have a surprisingly easy schedule from Thursday thru the weekend, so maybe I can get some stuff together.

I am officially out.

Turns out that my sis in law will be at Lake Crowley {Crowley Lake?} and we'll be heading up the 395 instead .

She said we'll probably be camping out at the place she'll be at because it is pretty small.
