Only twice have they been served to me crispy crunchy golden. Every other time? Flaccid and still lifeless. Like a bunch of little stud spud erections gone wrong. I guess my frenching fries just aren't that into me. Honestly? I don't like french fries unless they are crunchy crispy golden. And smothered in ketchup.

There is a place called Fresh Works in Valencia that is the absolute diggity. My boyfriend is friendly with the owner, so he always sends us home with bagfuls of goodies. His french fries are always so crispy and covered in seasoning salt! And his homemade potato chips? Holy cow! I usually don't care for either anywhere else, but there they are the total exception! I wish I could share them through the computer (if I actually had some!)

I'm happy you enjoyed your burger, Traci! Will you continue eating meat in general?

OH - that's right, this is about vegan Tracilicious and burgertime fun.

Well, good choice if you were going to eat a burger. Better than a McD's or just about anywhere else.

Yeah, the problem is with fresh cut fries, which, in my opinion make for horrible french fries. If you're going to use fresh potatoes better to bake them into potato wedges or something than frying them.

Potatoes should go through a soak several times to remove excess starches before being fried. In my opinion, of course. So frying htem longer for again won't solve the problem.

I could give up eating red meat if In N Out did not exist. Happily it does so I allow myself the indulgence once in a great while. It's the only fast food place I go near any more.
