You mean like real frosting, vanilla or something? I would think it would be awful, but then again a monte cristo with jam sounded strange at first too! It's kind of like a club just deep fried!

Chicken let us treat her and pet her for a bit. It looks like she ate, or the **** birds came in and snacked on her seed.

I talked to an animal curator at C.A.L.M. he confirmed that it was a red-tailed hawk. I explained to Nick that it would not be going away any time soon. I also got waaaay more information on its feeding habits and attack patterns than I needed to hear.

Nick has agreed that once she is healed we will see about shipping to Tehachapi, to a friend of my sister who raises the same breed of chicken. She will have a coop to sleep in and a yard to roam in, just like here. He feels that even though he won't get to see her very often she would be better off there than at his dad's house.

In the meantime, injured as she is, she laid another egg.
