Link on colored chicks.

From what I understand the dye is relatively harmless, but I personally feel that it takes away from the fact that it is an actual animal that needs care and attention, rather than a toy to be bored with and throw away after the feathers grow out, which contrary to the article I linked, takes longer than just a 'couple' of weeks to fully grow out.

ETA: I do feel differently about coloring chicks for scientific purposes, which has been done, and is more understandable to me.

With all the cases I've handled I've yet to represent a painted poodle. In all my trips to San Quentin, I've yet to see a painted poodle.

Humans with tattoos? That's a different story.

While poodles are arguably some of the smartest dogs I've come across, I've always found groomed poodles to be one of the most ridiculous-looking breeds ever... so the bright colors fit, in a way. And yeah, for the sake of the dogs, I hope they're colorblind, as well.

Encyclopedia Brown taught me they were, but that asshole lied. Turns out they aren't (or aren't completely, particularly at the violet end of the spectrum).

For the love of Pete! Why would you do that to an animal? I just don't understand people, at all. I'm actually getting very disgusted with society this week. Ok, I have been for a while but I just don't get it, do humans no longer come with brains?!
