Growing up in the 60's I recall Watergate very well, many of my favorite shows got prempted with its' coverage. This was in the days before cable, so imagin if you will, that you turn on the TV to find that every station has been turned to CSPAN. I believe he owes me some Gilligan's Island reruns

honestly, i was so damn sure it was Alexander Haig. i think that would have been so much more interesting. seamonkey, i agree, i remember the wall-to-wall coverage well...and during the cold war it was really scary stuff to watch as the mighty fortress crumbled.
